I recently saw a puppet play that had a dark message. It’s message was, there’s no escape from the world. You could say the world of darkness if you like, but that’s a bit depressing. How about we call it a mind trap. That’s all it really is. It’s no small thing though. It holds a great many in a state of fear. You know, that gnawing sensation of unease. And here is the key. What exactly is the sensation of fear? And more importantly, where does it come from?
It’s simply an amplified feeling of lack. You could put it into specifics like, lack of safety, lack of money, lack of love. Oh here is one that basically sums it all up. Lack of knowing. Knowing your physically ok and so on. This feeling of lack of knowing is the core issue. You say, no it’s lack of money. I say, the lack of money thing is lack of knowing you will be ok. Then you might say, no it’s more about my family. If there going to be ok. I say, what is it about them that you have concern about? There well being of course. I say, it’s your concern of your well being.
Are you saying I’m selfish? It’s just part of the far reaching feeling of fear. Nothing wrong with taking care of your family. The trouble starts when you fear you won’t. Well, yeah, that’s just normal right? In the world of fear it is. What else is there? How can it be any other way? The Truth is it can’t, so long as you fear the unknown. How am I supposed to be ok if I don’t know what’s going to happen? Let’s turn that up side down and look at it. I’m not going to be ok if I don’t know. Don’t know what? Here is where you will plug in all your worries.
What if I told you, it’s your worries that cause your worries. No, if I don’t pay my mortgage I’ll lose my house. And? well then I’ll be homeless. And? I may have to live under a bridge. And? I may starve to death or get sick and die. There you have it. It’s all just a fear of death. And the whole thing is just about putting it off as long as possible. Sounds logical. If you don’t want something, you try to avoid it. What if I told you, when you try to avoid something you bring it about. Not to get all philosophical but it’s true. Why is it true? Because that’s what you want.
This subject has been done to (death). Yet here we still are. Maybe we need to boil this down a little more. Why is there a fear of death? It’s fear of the unknown. Why? Because I don’t know if I will be ok. What if I told you, your not ok. You will likely get uncomfortable with that statement. Why? Because that’s what you believe. The core issue is you don’t feel your ok. I’ve went in to the depths of that in other blogs, so I’m going to stay on point. This is how creation works. You create what you feel. Plain and simple.
You will just have to trust me on this. But even if you don’t, let’s do a test sample. Bring to mind something that really got to you in a negative way. This is quite easy when you live in a world of fear. Now give me an honest view at how you felt in the heat of it. One more step, how did the world around you look and feel? Bad right? How about one more peek. Did it cause you to feel differently about things that normally seem ok? I think we can all agree. You see what you feel or even better, you see how you feel. How does that translate into your world of functionality?
Not very well. Now the easy thing seems hard and the hard thing is impossible. Pretty basic stuff right? And so easy to relate to. If we feel overwhelmed with fear our performance will be diminished. Now string this behavior along ,and there you have a clear example of how trying to avoid creates what you don’t want. I’ll explain further. Your energy that you feel within effects how you see the world around you. Bad horrible day and nothing goes right. Just look how a misperceived situation can change the course of your day. One little thing that you stew about all day and then you find out it was nothing. I think we all can relate to that.
Ok here it comes. What if, instead of a day it’s a life time? And the little thing that’s got you all bunched up, is death? The ultimate ah ha moment. But instead of having another day and a new way, you don’t. This is the predicament nearly everyone is in. Why do we fear death? Because we don’t know life, pure and simple. What the hell is that supposed to mean? It means, you don’t live life, you fear death. You don’t play to win, you play not to lose. This is your focus. Ok, let’s not point any fingers here. There is very good reason behind all of it. Of course your going to fear something you think may destroy you. How to know you are life, and death can not touch you? Or better yet, why don’t I know. It’s simply because the part of you that knows, is unknown to you. Why? Because it’s shielded from you out of fear. Fear of death. This fear of death is deep within you and it’s held there firmly by a child that feels unworthy.
Imagine you have a seed for a tree and you plant it. What you don’t realize is a foot down there is an impenetrable shield like a sheet of iron. No big deal right. Those roots are going to find a way to go deep and secure the trees survival. What if it can’t. Day after day the roots stretch out, and can find no way. These roots represent our searching the world for what’s missing. Now the trees very survival is in question and it starts to show. Withered and small the tree breaks free in a wind storm and it dies. Here’s the saddest statement I may ever make. You are that tree and your roots are your inner child. And even worse, the shield of iron is the belief it’s not worthy of love. Unknown to the innocence of a child’s mind, it rejects its own essence of pure love, feeling the extreme difference in a world of fear. The love that’s right there in your own depth. You are afraid of love because you think it’s death, because it seems to a child’s mind that it must reject its own pure nature to conform and be accepted. A child’s need for love and acceptance causes it to reject its own purity for conformity.
Your wealth is in your depth and we search the world for an answer that we have hidden deep within. So it may never be found, lest ye die for certain. Yes, it’s a mess we have, but thank God it’s not reality. We are eternal life with infinite potential and we throw it away because of a child’s misunderstanding. All of this is simply the naivety of innocence. There is no finger to point, no sin to be forgiven, just a cycle to be broken. Trust you are in very good hands and allow yourself to let go of feeling unworthy, by opening the door to love. Find the kindness in your heart when you look in the mirror. Your belief captured you for death, now let that same conviction open the door to life. You can’t lose in this process because you are life. Eternal life. So no matter what you do you are completely safe. But you can save yourself from the fear of death with a yes to Life. Open the door to your own acceptance deep within. Nothing done with a fearful heart could ever touch the purity and beauty that you are in reality. Rest ease, you are in the arms of love unknown, to a thought of fear…
