Few could argue that being comfortable within yourself is life’s greatest prize. Isn’t that what were all really after? It may not be a conscious effort, but everyone is trying in some way. Here is a question to ponder. Wouldn’t there have to be something we know deep within, that something’s not right in order to want something different? Wouldn’t there have to be a contrast of what we feel compared to what we want to feel? Or maybe it’s not so much a need to feel different as it is to feel at home. Home, where just being feels free and vibrant. Where thoughts of future reverberate from this moment, I love just being me. Here’s the best part. Why? For no reason what so ever, I just love it. No need for anything, or anyone. Just me here, now.
This is truly what we want, the fullness of life. Where your thoughts lightly say, I wonder how life is going to bless me today? Each moment a gift to celebrate. This is our true nature, and we all want it back. How, is the overwhelming question that rules the world. And it’s played out in every conceivable way. The real question that needs asked is, why? Why, if this is my natural state and what I want, why is it not here? The simple answer. It is, your not. Just sit still for a moment and see this clearly. There is one place that most don’t look or want to look for comfort. Just being, just this. Here is where I am, I just couldn’t feel more at home. It’s just so lovely.
The last place most want to be is the only place they ever can be. This is the sobering fact. It doesn’t get any clearer. Few, actually care enough to take a single step in the direction of real freedom. Why? Because it threatens the home they have. Better to deal with what I know than go through the discomfort of change. What a situation! Here it is spelled out, and it sounds insane. We are absolutely driven to find, what we don’t want. Could there be a more insane scenario? Suddenly human history makes perfect sense. Are we the most intelligent species on the planet, or just the most driven? Well, we sure changed the whole planet in search of something. And that something is comfort an ease. Compared to even two hundred years ago, we all live like kings. Are we happier, more fulfilled? So what’s the issue?
Lurking deep within each one of us is a feeling of unease. This varies from person to person, but we all have it to some degree. A wound creating disharmony has cycled through generation after generation, past down again and again. Normality hides this and fear holds it in place. We are all born with purity of heart and comfort within. The innocence and child like wonder slowly fades in the grip of conditioning and fearful energy. Bottom line, what we all intuitively want is a return to that comfort within. It’s there still in our depth. We simply have to understand it can’t be found in the world. The discomfort is our own rejection of our home, our essence. Held in place by a child’s mind. There is no easy way to let go of this belief, because it’s felt to be very threatening. The deepest understanding of the situation is, innocence gathered an unconscious feeling of being rejected due to the extreme difference in surrounding energy.
No reasoning skills, no thought processes, and no understanding causes each one of us to self reject before we know anything conceptually. This feeling has no shape or definitive point of origin. Letting go of this requires a real willingness to feel and let go of difficult things. It’s a process of real surrender. Being open to being wrong in your thinking and beliefs. Knowing that no matter how you got where you are, you are the only one that is responsible for change . There is no finger to point, no blame to cast. Only willingness to see the innocence and beauty that you truly are. It takes time to heal and transcend this deeply held belief. Just know these errant thoughts and feelings are gripped by an innocent child within you. Kindness and compassion toward yourself loosens the grip of a child’s hold on unhealed trauma. Openness to this process of letting go will be met with the open arms of love, welcoming you home…
